These brownies are fudgy and sweet, with the perfect crinkle top. They taste like your favorite box brownies but elevated. The addition of the dark chocolate frosting and homemade caramel sauce take these brownies from ordinary to spectacular. Don’t forget the sprinkle of sea salt on top, as it balances out the richness of this ooey gooey dessert!

Ingredients
2/3 cups Boiling Water
2 oz Unsweetened Chocolate
4 tbsp Butter (melted)
2/3 cups Neutral Oil
2 1/2 cups Granulated Sugar
2 Whole Eggs
2 Egg Yolks
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
1 tsp Salt
1/3 cup Cocoa Powder
2 tsp Espresso Powder
1 3/4 cups All Purpose Flour
Directions
Preheat Oven to 350 F
Grease and Line 9×13 Baking Pan
Sift together the flour and cocoa powder onto large sheet of parchment paper or a medium bowl and set aside.
In small pot bring water to a boil. Once water is boiling remove from heat and add to heat proof mixing bowl. Add in melted butter, dark chocolate, oil, vanilla, salt, and sugar. Mix together with a whisk. I like to add the dark chocolate into the hot water and let it sit for a minute or two, because it will melt on its own with the heat of the water. Once combined and stated to cool down a bit, add in the eggs plus egg yolks one at a time. Until the eggs are fully incorporated to the sugar mixture.
Using a rubber spatula or wooden spoon, gently fold in the flour mix into the chocolate mixture. Fold the flour mis in three stages, making sure to fully incorporate flour after each addition.
Pour brownie batter and smooth evenly into prepared pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes, or until toothpick or butter knife come out clean. Let cool completely before frosting.
Fudgey Chocolate Frosting
1 stick or 8 oz Butter (softned)
1/2 cup Powdered Sugar
2 tbsp Cocoa Powder
1 tbsp Hot Water
Pinch of Salt
1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
2 oz. Unsweetened Chocolate
Directions
Place all of the ingredients in a medium-sized mixing bowl or stand mixer. If using a mixer, stir everything together with a paddle attachment on low speed for 30 seconds. Scrape with rubber spatula and mix on medium speed for two minutes. Follow these same instructions if using a mixing bowl with a handheld mixer.

Assembley
Once completely cooled, remove brownies from the pan and place on large board. Such as a cutting board. Spoon frosting on top of brownies, making sure to smooth evenly with a spatula. Next, take you cooled caramel sauce and drizzle across brownies. Be as creative as you like. I chose to drizzle vertically and then drag a butter knife horizontal to create my design. Sprinkle sea salt evenly over the top. Not only is this visually appealing, but it also helps to balance out the richness of these decadent brownies. Serve and enjoy.
